Municipality venues are owned by the local Town Halls in the area (Ayia Napa, Paralimni and Sotira). If choosing one of these venues, you’re not restricted to where you stay. Most of the hotels where you can marry are either 4* or 5* and you have to be residents for a minimum of 7 days, so not always a good option if you’re on a budget. Hotels don’t offer any beach ceremonies either, so if this is what you are looking for then you would require a Municipality venue.
There is plenty to choose from ranging from exchanging your vows directly on the sand to lush gardens and hillside views.
Ayia Napa Municipality
Ayia Napa is one of the best tourist destinations worldwide, very well known as a cosmopolitan resort and since 1994 has been advanced also, to an ideal wedding place where thousands of couples choose to get married and experience a romantic honeymoon each year. It seems to have been created for those in love. The Municipality offer a range of venues from the Town Hall to venues overlooking the sea, on a cliff edge or directly on a beach.
Paralimni (Protaras) Municipality
The Town Hall has a selection of venues on offer, so you aren’t tied into staying in any particular hotel. From the wedding room at the Town Hall to spectacular sea views at Pernera Blue Waters, private beach venue at Ayia Triada or lush green gardens at St Elias. There is a venue to suit everyone.
Sotira (Ayia Thekla) Municipality
Why not exchange your wedding vows on a beautiful white sandy beach or private island!! One of the most popular beach venues is Sirenes Beach which is located in Ayia Thekla, with its white sand and clear blue sea, this is the best beach in Cyprus for weddings.
